Recently, John and I had dinner at Bar Boulud, one of Daniel Boulud’s acclaimed NY restaurants. The drinks were well mixed, the pâté fantastic, but our entrées were just… okay. I wanted to love this place, mostly because I idolize Daniel Boulud, but I’m not sure I see myself returning any time soon.
We had tickets to see Eat. Pray. Love. later that evening, but still had a few hours to kill. As we wandered around the Upper West Side, we found ourselves at Columbus Circle. After seriously debating grabbing a quick dessert at Per Se (you can order a la carte from their “Salon Menu” without a reservation), I didn’t think we were dressed appropriately (shocking, I know).
