Yes, homemade vanilla extract is incredibly easy and delicious. 

Buying vanilla from grocery stores is so expensive! I would suggest buying online with companies that specialize in vanilla, like www.beanilla.com, where vanilla beans cost barely $1 each.

Also, the best ratio for vanilla extract is 5 vanilla beans per 8 ounces vodka.
